Welcome
From the Principal, Dr Regan Neumann

Our school is rich in talent across a wide range of areas - academic, sport, cultural and community service. It is obvious to me that one of the strengths of Harristown School Community is its people - the staff, students and parents.

My focus will be to build on the existing strengths and take advantage of the wide range of opportunities that emerge, in our journey, in the years ahead.

In 2009 our goals are focussed on improving, building, striving and achieving in the following areas:
  • Student performance
  • Relationships with staff, students, parents and the community
  • School of Academies – enhanced programs in academic skills, industrial skills, sport and the arts
  • Implementation of an extensive literacy plan
  • Easing transition for students coming from primary schools
  • Strong and clear focus on academic achievement
  • Emphasis on student leadership development
  • Improvement of school’s physical environment
I believe that the key ingredient to achieving these goals this year is for our students, staff and parents to work in partnership. I hope you will enjoy learning about Harristown State High School, an important part of our local Toowoomba community.
